High-end 3-CCD professional camera that records 1080 or 720 High Definition (it also records Standard Def native to DV tape), does Slow Motion (48, 60 fps), Film Look (24 fps), has true 4:4:4 color space (so all greenscreen stuff will be super easy to key).... We went with the best camera we could to get the best looking, most versitle footage. And our camera guys have been doing this since '92, so we have the experience to back up the equipment.

We color grade (color correct) every single shot we post to bring out the very best possible look. Basically we DaVinici each shot - it makes a really big difference and makes our stuff that much more professional.

Editing

Final Cut Pro 2

We have an editor on staff who selects all the video clips that we submit to iStock. She decides what clips are most useful for editors (and throws away a lot the camera guys would like to keep!). Also, if several shots could be useful together, she'll edit together a loose series and post them all together, so you get more bang for your buck.
